River Trip

We took a fun trip in '07 that included an early morning flight over the Grand Canyon, a hike through Upper Antelope Canyon and then a half day river float trip from Glen Canyon dam to Lee's Ferry. It was a spectacular day that was tempered by the trip back to our hotel room. This included a 3 hour bus ride through some incredibly impoverished Indian reservations. It is very humbling to see such poverty and desolation. The extremes of natural splendor and human tragedy in one day has really had lasting effect on my view of American life.
